One of South Miami's most affluent neighborhoods, the city of Coral Gables is not only wealthy but also extremely pleasant to simply look at and walk through. In fact, most people who visit the city often say it’s almost like stepping back in time to Miami’s olden days when the father of "The Gables" George Merrick was first bringing his vision of the city to life. In fact, some the city’s yesteryear can still be seen in the city to this day such as the Biltmore Hotel and the prestigious University of Miami, both of which were established in the 1920s.
Interestingly, the majority of Coral Gables homes that make up Coral Gables real estate share a similar trait in that they each have gabled roofs, a feature that partially gives the city its name. Whether you’re seeking single family homes or a waterfront estate, you’ll find both in equal amounts in Coral Gables. A good place to start is in one of the Coral Gables communities like Cocoplum, Gables Estates or beautiful Tahiti Beach.
